Spelling Bee Qualifying Test

Date: Monday, 26 June 2023 Venue: School library, Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan U3 Organiser: Pupil Council Participants: Year 4 and 5 The Spelling Bee qualifying test was held on Monday, 26 June 2023 at the school library. The test was organized by the Pupil Council and was open to all Year 4 and 5 students. The test consisted of 50 objective questions were given to the participants in order to select the best 10 students for the school’s elite spelling bee team. The Inauguration Ceremony

The Inauguration Ceremony for Student’s Leadership Bodies was held on May 23, 2023 at the Dewan Baiduri Hall, Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan U3. The ceremony was attended by the school's headmaster, teachers and all school’s leadership bodies  such as school's prefects (pengawas sekolah), school's librarians (pengawas pusat sumber sekolah), peer tutors (pembimbing rakan sebaya) and school's musolla prefects (pengawas surau).  The ceremony began with a speech by the school's principal, Encik Md Hishamuddin bin Md Yaacob. He congratulated the newly elected pupil’s leadership members and wished them all the best in their new roles. He also urged them to be responsible and to lead by example. The next item on the agenda was the presentation of certificates to the newly elected Pupil Council members. The certificates were presented by Encik Md Hishamuddin bin Md Yaacob and the senior assistants. The ceremony then continued with the installation of the new Pupil Council member...

School Election Day 2023

Today marks the day where all pupils of SK Jalan U3 cated their votes for the first time ever. The last time our school had witnessed this historic event of School Election Day was in 2019. Due to the pandemic, the annual school election day was cancelled for few years. The objectives of this programme are to: (a) elect the President of Pupil Council 2023, (b) to give an early exposure to students on the process within the democracy system and (c) to provide a hands-on experience for students in the voting process. Being part of the Highly Immersive Programme, the school election day was conducted in English where students were introduced to new vocabularies such as polling station, ballot box, ballot paper, candidates, spoilt votes et cetera.  Two candidates namely Nurul Sheefa and Qhalish Rayyan were competing in this election and supported by the campaigning team of Pupil Council members.
